- 5 / 5By Matt BlytheWe live in Salem. If you live in Salem and want good Sunday brunch, you frequently find yourself waiting 90+ minutes for a table at the city's sole happening brunch place. Friends, that isn't any way to live, especially when you could instead head over to Independence to the Three-Legged Dog, a pleasant 20-minute drive down River Road.
Three-Legged Dog's Sunday brunch is incredible. Simple, fresh ingredients prepared well. My wife says the biscuits and gravy are the best she's had. I get the chicken fried steak if none of the specials catch my eye, and it's always excellent. The Bloody Mary bar is delightful. The staff is friendly. The prices are reasonable, especially given the quality of the ingredients.September 14, 2016
